About Us

We're a pretty sizeable group of musicians from Canada that like to travel to new places. We've done many trips in the past, including Germany, Italy, France, Scandinavia, Czech Republic, and a great deal more. This year we're touring around the UK. We started up in Edinburg and we're working our way south from there, ending up in London.

About New Horizons

Established in January 1999, the UWO New Horizons Adult Band Program aims to provide instruction to adults wishing to learn (or re-learn) to play wind or percussion instruments. This increasingly popular program offers instruction on the following instruments: flute, oboe, clarinet, saxophone, bassoon, trumpet, french horn, trombone, euphonium, tuba and percussion.

The UWO New Horizons Adult Band Program is modeled after similar programs in the United States and is sponsored by Western's Don Wright Faculty of Music. Currently, there are more than fifty such bands operating in the United States and Canada.

The University of Western Ontario was the first New Horizons Band in Canada, and remains one of the largest programs of its kind in North America.
